Friday, February 14 - 1:35 dismissal Monday, Febreuary 17 - School Closed MS/HS Retreat on Wednesday Holy Cross will host a half day retreat, "Reality Check," for our middle and high school students on Wednesday morning, February 12. In the world today, there are many outside influences that can affect the lives of young people. Most of what we see in the media presents a false reality - truth and happiness are distorted. This theme takes a look at how the world influences the way we live our lives, and how God presents us with a new, life-giving reality. The retreat will be facilitated by Net Ministries, a group that challenges young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church. It will be a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with young adults on fire for their faith as well as renewing their own spiritual ties to Christ. About Net Ministries Every August, 130 young Catholics aged 18-28 leave behind their jobs, school, family, and friends to devote nine months to serving with the National Evangelization Teams (NET). Divided into 12 teams, they travel across the U.S. for nine months to share the Gospel with young people and their families. Since 1981, NET teams have led over 26,000 retreats and ministered to more than 1.6 million young Catholics. For more information, go to www.netusa.org.
MS/HS students are allowed to wear khakis/jeans and a HC shirt the day of the retreat. Elementary students will remain in uniforms.

Support HC with Scrip
Scrip is a program that allows you to help HC while making your normal purchases. When you purchase a shopping card through the Scrip program, a percentage is given back to our school. Go to glscrip.com to see all of the participating vendors.
A Scrip Testimonial from Ann Shenigo "I have used our scrip program for a number of years. I use it for businesses that I visit as well as for gifts. I enjoy going to movies so I have ordered Regal Movie tickets. With Chipotle and Panera Bread nearby, I have ordered their $10 cards. For Christmas and birthdays, the gift cards have been perfect for family members and friends. When purchasing the cards, not only do I benefit from the convenience but also Holy Cross receives a percentage of the cost of the card, it's a win-win situation for me as well as Holy Cross."
