Crismons Materials Needed The fine Arts department is starting a new tradition this Christmas. Our elementary students will be creating Crismons ( Christian Ornaments) The ornaments will hang on a tree in the lobby during the holidays. We have a tree, but we are in need of the following items to get started this year: gold glitter, gold thread, mod podge, stiffened white felt sheets. Students will begin making these ornaments right after Halloween. Please contact Mrs. Pociluyko with any questions or donations.
Fourth Grade is going to the farm! Virginia is our main focus in the 4th grade Social Studies curriculum. We are traveling to White Fall Farm in Gretna, Virginia, to see a working farm that locally produces crops, livestock, grain, and timber. We are looking forward to being outside to learn about Virginia. Pumpkin Day On Tuesday, October 29, our 4th graders will be having Pumpkin Day. We will be using pumpkins of all sizes, colors, and types to explore science and math concepts such as measuring, counting, forming a scientific hypothesis, etc. It is a fun way of reinforcing our science unit on measuring and matter as well as Math - estimating, volume, etc!
