Host Family Needed for 2013-14 School Year 

We are looking forward to welcoming another international student to Holy Cross next year who will be traveling to Lynchburg from Thailand.  She will be in the 11th grade and we are seeking a family for the entire school year.  If you're interested in hosting this student, please contact Amy Lawson at lawson_a@hcrs-va.org

   


HS/MS Students Bring Snacks

     The Juniors will not be selling snacks at snack time after May 10th.   Please make sure that MS/HS students bring their own snacks for snack time from home starting May 13th.

  

Service Opportunity 
Here is an opportunity to get a head start on next year's service hours.  The Cancer Center is in need of volunteers for their  Cancer survivor dinner on Friday May 31.  If you are interested in volunteering please contact Jill Moreno (a HC parent) at jmm892@gmail.com 

 

Events This Week: 
Monday, May 13, Young Author Contest Regional winners will have their picture taken as a group in the early AM.  Students need to wear uniforms and big smiles!  We are all so proud of you!

 

Thursday, May 16, our May Crowning of Mary will take place at Mary's Grotto in the front yard @ 2:15.  Fr. Sal from Holy Name of Mary will be our celebrant at this beautiful event, honoring Our Blessed Mother with a crown of flowers.  Children, please bring fresh-cut flowers from home.  All parents and friends are most welcomed. 

 

Friday, May 17, second graders will attend daily Mass at STM Church with Msgr. Michael McCarron at 12:05.

 

      
The Jubliee Center is hosting a full day 12-week long summer camp beginning June 3rd.  For more information, please contact the center at 845-0433.


The Holy Cross School Drama Club proudly presents "Guys and Dolls" on Friday, May 24th at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 25th at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Thoresen Theatre, Randolph College.
