Please note that spring break will occur during the week of March 17 and will not follow Easter week. Easter break will be from April 18-21. Please refer to the calendar for other important dates.

SUMMER SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

Holy Cross Church is offering summer service opportunities during the week of June 10-14.

Ages 16-18 are invited to help with a Habitat for Humanity build in Lynchburg.

Ages 12-16 are invited to help at Lynchburg Grows.

Annual Grandparents' Day Celebration - May 3rd

Our annual Grandparents' Day celebration is Friday, May 3rd and we're looking forward to having another wonderful event. If we have contact information for your child's grandparent(s) in RenWeb, an invitation was sent to them over spring break. If we don't have their contact information, please share the invitation below with them. We ask that grandparents who plan to attend please RSVP to the school or to our special Grandparents' Day email address (grandparents@hcrs-va.org) by April 29th.

Congratulations to Senior Meghann Hansen

who competed in the Optimist Club Oratorical Contest on Thursday, April 18 on behalf of Holy Cross School. Meghann and Principal Patti Culbreth attended a luncheon followed by the competition.

Our Summer Camp Brochure is now available! All students in grades Pre-K through 6^th received one in their classrooms and we also have our offerings available on our website under "Summer". We have a wonderful array of camps ranging from dance to Spanish, from science to basketball....and much more. Camper registration and the $25 deposit are due by Monday, June 3^rd. Please note, all of our dance camps will be held at The Red Shoes Dance Studio. However, all registrations for the dance camps should still come to Holy Cross School. Thank you!

Summer Camp Addition - Cheerleading Camp!

Join Elizabeth Marny, sister of Mrs. Barnes, for a fun-filled week of cheerleading camp July 22-26. The camp is $75 and registration information may be found here as well as on our website under "Summer". Don't forget, all deadlines for our camps is June 3rd. Registration for Vacation Bible Saints Camp - The $25 registration fee does not apply to the VBS camp hosted by Mrs. Schemmel. Cost for one student is $15 and $30 for a family. Please include the appropriate fee when you register your child.

What's one of the best ways to advertise Holy Cross School? By getting a HCRS bumper sticker!

We're seeing them all over town and it's a great way to display your pride as well as do some free advertising for the school. Stickers are available at the front desk and are FREE!

Holy Cross School Afternoon at the Ballpark is today!

Join your HCS family on Sunday afternoon, April 21st, as the Lynchburg Hillcats take on the Salem Red Sox at City Stadium. Game time is 2:05 P.M. Students may receive free tickets through the school office. Adults may purchase tickets at the school office for $5 each. AND one lucky student will be selected to THROW OUT THE FIRST PITCH! Each time a student sells an adult ticket, his/her name will be put in the drawing. The lucky winner will be chosen and announced on April 18th. Tickets are now on sale.
