Dear Holy Cross Families,I ask that you keep the community of Sandy Hook Elementary in your prayers. Undoubtedly, you have been watching the news coverage of the horrific tragedy that occurred there on Friday. I am sure we are all spending the weekend holding our children close and thinking of those families who have suffered unbelievable loss. Please know that the health and safety of your children are our top priorities at Holy Cross School. Each year we review our safety expectations and hold drills to prepare for emergencies. We file our Crisis Management Plan with the Lynchburg Police so that we can expect direct support from authorities. Administrators, faculty and staff will continue to nurture your children through this crisis. We know our children look to the adults they love and trust for reaction. We will assure your children of our support and love as well as their safety as we model a prayerful community ready to serve others. Our goal is to keep your children safe every day you entrust them to us; we feel wholeheartedly the awesome blessing each child presents. Thank you for sharing your children with us. God bless those families who are suffering in CT. May they find comfort in knowing so many people care.
