Canned Food Drive
The Elementary Student Government is sponsoring a "Canned Food Drive" beginning Monday, December 3rd and ending on Thursday, December 13th. Bring in one or more cans of food to earn a "free dress" day on Tuesday, December 18th. Please give donations to your child's teacher. The donations will be given to "Lynchburg Daily Bread" in downtown Lynchburg. Thanks for supporting this service project.

Service Hours Forms Due on December 10
Due to the change in the date for Breakfast with Santa (it is later than usual this year) we have extended the due date for first semester service hours to December 10. Please remind students that half of their service hours are due on the 10th. If they need service hours, the breakfast would be a great way to earn some hours.
Thank you. Click here to download the service hour form.

Elementary/Middle School Drama Club Poinsettia Sale It's hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner and that means that it is time for our annual Poinsettia sale. Our beautiful plants come from Nelson's Garden Center in Forest, their color is bright, blooms are gorgeous, and they are definitely a decorative piece to include in your holiday decorating. This is our one big fundraiser to help defer the cost of our spring show. So, we are asking for your support. Plants will be delivered the first week of December. Barnes and Noble Fair- 4 days left!
It's not too late to shop at Barnes and Noble to benefit Holy Cross School. We have until this Thursday, Dec. 6th, to earn a percentage of each sale made by a Holy Cross School student, family member, friend, acquaintance. Be sure to either take the Holy Cross voucher (available on RenWeb and in office), or tell the cashier you are with Holy Cross School. Remember, if you wish to shop at another location besides Lynchburg, or on line, simply present the Holy Cross bookfair ID # 10509596.
Many thanks to all of the students, families and teachers who came out Saturday to help us shine in our community with music and stories. Thank you Mrs. Schemmel for your willingness to do a story and some sing along music!
Th e Christmas wish list tree will be up in the lobby this coming week with titles of books that we would love to see in the libraries. Each year this is presented as an opportunity for individuals or groups to donate a book to the library in honor of a teacher or other individual, or in memory of a loved one. Simply pick an "ornament/title" from the tree, fill out the back, and return it to school with a check or cash for the amount on the book. Do not purchase the book.
Through the years we have added many books to our collection and the best part is having students check them out over and over and read the bookplate indicating the honored individual and the donor! It is truly a gift that keeps on giving. Please contact Mrs. Main if you have any questions.
