Congratulations to Peyton Civis!

Thanks to everyone that participated in our Box Tops contest. The winner of the $50.00 Gift Certificate is Peyton Civis. We will have another collection in March so continue to send in your cut box tops in bags of 50 for a chance to win a gift certificate to Game Stop. If we reach our $2000.00 goal we will have a Box Top Party at the end of the year.  We just submitted $744.50 worth of Box Tops. We need $1255.50 more to reach our Goal. I know we can do it.

SCHOLASTIC FAIR: Many thanks go out to those who supported the Scholastic book fair last week. Because of your purchases, Holy Cross School profited over $500.00 and was able to add $200.00 worth of books to the library centers! Thanks also to those who volunteered at the fair and sent in refreshments!

BARNES & NOBLE/HOLY CROSS SCHOOL EVENT-DECEMBER 1ST, 2012 (through Dec. 6th)

  • Mark your calendars for the upcoming Holy Cross Barnes & Noble book fair event. Between December 1st and Dec. 6th, Holy Cross School will earn a percentage of all purchases made by our families and friends at any Barnes & Noble stores or online.
  • Simply present the voucher to the cashier, or key in the bookfair ID # if ordering online. (Vouchers with ID# will be sent home but are also available in office and on website.) This is a great opportunity for Holy Cross to earn $ while we shop. All items are included: books, gifts, CDs, DVDs, etc. (purchase of gift cards do not count but you may redeem them during fair)
  • On Saturday, December 1st, we will have some musical performances by our own students, as well as a story time. Please come out that day to the local Barnes and Noble store when Holy Cross will be featured.
  • Stay tuned for more details. Spread the word to everyone you know!!

  Butter Braids Sale

Apple, Cinnamon, Cream Cheese, Blueberry, Cherry, Bavarian Creme- do I have your interest now?  Butter Braids are on sale now.  Your friends and family will compliment your baking skills when you pull that warm roll out of the oven.  Buy several and freeze them for those special times or chilly weekends.  Your child should have received an order form.  If not, call the office and we can get your order placed.  Proceeds benefit the Junior/Senior prom and After Prom.

IT'S TURKEY TIME AGAIN!
For the 9th consecutive year, Holy Cross School will be participating in "Operation Turkey" to help feed the needy and homeless in the Lynchburg area during the holidays and all year long.  Please consider donating a fresh or frozen turkey.  Turkeys will be collected in the front parking lot after school on November 14th from 2:30-3:30 and delivered to our local soup kitchen, Daily Bread.  Collection boxes will also be located in each classroom if you or your child wish to make a monetary donation.  As always, thank you for your generosity.  We look forward to helping many people this year.
If you have any questions, please contact Caitlyn Eichmann at
