Mosaic Life Care is a physician-led life care company that is introducing a new kind of health care. The company has been in business for over 20 years and opened the Excelsior Springs branch at 2370 Vintage Court within the last year.
"We are trying to keep people out of the hospital by helping them live healthier, more productive lives. We are connected to the hearts, minds and spirits of our consumers and want to help them become the healthiest version of themselves. We do not just treat diseases and conditions, we improve lives. We've redefined health care into life care," said Janet Buckman, manager. "It's health improvement and life improvement. We work with our consumers to find out what their aspirations are, what their dreams are, but knowing is nothing without doing. We help them achieve their aspirations to enrich their lives and open up possibilities."

Business of the Month -

 Ventana Gourmet Grill

Ventana Gourmet Grill will be celebrating 11 years in business this year. Ventana will soon be renovating their kitchen and dining area. Owners Jill Rickart and Wendy Baldwin are excited about upcoming changes that will be happening with the restaurant ... new menu, newly arranged bar, and updated interior.
"The changes will be exciting and will help accommodate our growing business," said Jill.
Ventana serves a varied menu that includes steaks, seafood, pastas, burgers, soups, and salads. Desserts are homemade, the plain cheesecake recipe has been part of the family, however, over the years Wendy and Jill have expanded on that recipe to add many different flavors. Favorites include Caramel Pecan, Peanut Butter Chocolate, German Chocolate, and many more. They can be bought by the slice or call ahead and order a whole one.
Over the years Ventana has been featured on Channel 19's television show called Check Please, and have had a magazine layout in Home in the Northland. With the new changes Wendy and Jill hope to bring even more exposure to their restaurant and to the historical downtown. They look forward to expanding their customer base with tourist, locals, and day trippers.
ESCT's "Slightly Off Broadway Players" have been bringing live theatre to Excelsior Springs and the surrounding area for thirty years. The organization has performed in many locations over the years, including Roosevelt high school, Wyman school, the Community of Christ church basement, and cafes and bistros in the area.
