Letter from the Director |
Dear Supporters of IOOS,
We are proud to announce that we have changed our name from the National Federation of Regional Associations of Coastal and Ocean Observing to IOOS Association. The NFRA Board of Directors voted to change the organization's name in November 2012. This more inclusive name reflects the connectivity between the regions and the federal components. The name change should be perceived as an acknowledgement of the strength and diversity of the organization, capturing the importance of what our membership does with respect to the entire IOOS enterprise.
The organization will continue to operate under its normal structure. You will see the name change reflected in the Website, marketing materials, and logos. We will also be migrating to IOOS Association emails, so you can contact me at [email protected] and Michelle Hohensee, Program Coordinator at [email protected].
We hope that you share in our excitement about the progress and changes we are making as an organization. We look forward to a revitalized partnership and continued success.
Regards,
Josie Quintrell

IOOS Association Launches New Web Site |
The IOOS Association has released a new Website, www.ioosassociation.org, designed with a fresh new look and user-friendly navigation. This simplified web site provides quick and easy access into the IOOS Regions and the IOOS Program Office sites, which are chock full of information. It also provides access to IOOS news and events. We hope that you will enjoy browsing our new site and that it will serve as a valuable tool for increasing the visibility of the IOOS Enterprise.
