Renovation of Montgomery Village Housing Development Complete

Renovation of Knoxville Community Development Corporation's Montgomery Village housing development in South Knoxville is now complete. The community revitalization project, led by Partners Development, included selective demolition and renovation of 63 buildings and 380 housing units, totaling 356,400 square feet.

In addition to significant facade improvements, the renovation included total reconstruction of dated and deteriorated kitchens and bathrooms, all new water systems, and the addition of air conditioning systems with new HVAC units.

Merit's experience with multi-family construction and renovations allowed for a tight construction schedule without compromising safety for the residents who remained on property throughout the project.

"Merit Construction has been a great partner on the recently completed renovation of Montgomery Village.  They took a long-term renovation project and organized in a manner that ran smoothly and efficiently.  It is great working with a company who works hard in helping you achieve your development goals and objectives.  My congratulations to Merit Construction for a job well done!"

said Alvin Nance, Executive Director/CEO, Knoxville Community Development Corporation.
