 Junior Kindergarten goes to the "Drive-In Movies"Ms. Dominguez and Ms. Johnson's Junior Kindergarten classes 'drove' to the movies in their 'cars'! The JK-ers looked so adorable in their box-cars with black plastic plate wheels and personalized license plates. They honked and purred down the hallways (even having a traffic jam and a 'pile-up'!!). They pulled into the drive-up movie parking spaces in the MPR and watched the Bernstein Bears movie and with popcorn cups. It was a perfect afternoon! They were SO cute and so happy they were driving their 'foot-powered' cars and didn't even need gas!
Field Day!
What a blast! Field day was super fun for all of our students. They had a wonderful time 'racing' with all of the funny obstacles. They jumped through hula-hoops, rode a scooter through cones, juggled balls on a spoon and did hop-scotch! They laughed and giggled as they cheered their classmates on to the finish line. Everyone loved getting their medals and yummy snow cones.
Parent Survey - Due June 10
As parents, your feedback is invaluable to us in informing our decisions and plans moving forward. We invite you to share your feedback in this year's online parent survey. You should have received an email this week with the link to the survey. If you have not received the survey, please email Stephanie Green at sgreen@fairmontschools.com with your updated email address, and we will send it to you right away. Each family who completes the survey by June 10 will be entered in a raffle to win $1000 off tuition next year! Thank you for taking the timetoshare your thoughts.
8th Grade Promotion
The Class of 2013 will be promoted to high school on Tuesday, June 11 at 5:00pm. After the ceremony, all of the students and families will be celebrating at the Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa.
Fairmont Summer Programs 
Summer is just around the corner and we have been planning all of our summer games and activities since last November. We have so many 'c rafty-crafts' and wonderful science projects planned that your child will never want to go home!

Congratulations to our Eighth Graders!
We are so proud of our ninth class of graduating eighth graders. The Class of 2013 is a wonderful combination of confident, engaging, charming students and we are going to miss their wit and smiles! This class of 51 students has 37 students that have been Fairmont students since Preschool or Kindergarten! They will be celebrating their successes, their growth and their pursuit of excellence.
Congratulations to Co-Valedictorians, Zoe Wang and Brendan Tsuda! Congratulations to Salutatorian, Tommy Lee.
