Re-Enrollment Updates
As we begin our re-enrollment season, we would like to take the time to thank you for your continued participation and support for our Fairmont Anaheim Hills community. We look forward to having you as part of the Fairmont family for Fairmont's 60th Anniversary year! Once again we celebrate your child with a "Paw" on the paw-wall and a heart on the Preschool Cougar wall. Also we enjoyed our Celebration Picnic so much last year that we look forward to reaching our re-enrollment goal so we can picnic again!
Junior High Ski Trip
Our Junior High visited Mountain High Ski Resort this week for a day of skiing and snowboarding! It was a perfect day with the snow being pristine and the clear blue sky shining over all their heads. This is such a important trip for our students--in addition to the fun component they also learn about being independent and taking care of their belongings! I am happy to say they all came home safe and sound, with all of their equipment (and also very tired)!

BMX Bike Show
The final award for this year's Magazine Drive was the thrilling BMX Bike Show! All of our students loved watching the BMX bike riders soar into the air and show off their skills. Thank you to our wonderful parents for supporting the Magazine Drive and to our hard-working FPA for the many hours promoting and working on the Magazine Drive!

Third Grade Musical Showcase
We are so proud of our third graders! Last week they showed us that they are becoming literate musicians. They sang and clapped rhythms in 6/8 meter using the Gordon Rhythmic System. They also read music in 6/8 meter and played various percussion instruments. The students can also recognize famous masterworks of great composers. They showed us their interpretations to music by Beethoven and Dukas through creative dance. As they danced and moved around the room with the beat and rhythms of the music, it was so exciting to see how Mrs. Zavoral has opened the world of music and movement to our students.
