Locks of Love Cut-a-Long

Do you have long hair? Or will have long hair by March? If so, save that hair to donate to Locks of Love!

On a date to be determined in March, there will be a school-wide assembly educating the school about how and why the Locks of Love organization makes wigs from donated hair. We will then take "live" donations one by one on stage. After the assembly, hair stylists from The Cartel Salon will style the hair of the people who donated to a beautiful new hair-do!

If you or your child is qualified (10 inches of pony tail to cut) and are willing to donate your hair for this great cause, please contact Heather Lopez  (714) 693-3812 x1363 or email her at [email protected] so she can get an idea of how many stylists are needed for this event.

Missing Sweaters and Sweatshirts
Please, please check your child's sweater or sweatshirt to see if another child's name is in it or monogrammed on it!  We have had many parents who have monogrammed or labeled their child's outerwear and they have 'disappeared.'  Usually another student has taken it home accidentally and it is sitting in your closet. Thank you in advance for your help!

Feature Article

Dear Parents,

We want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year! At the same time, we would like to update you on what is happening at our campus. We want to reassure you that our first and foremost goal is to provide a secure and safe environment for your student

.

We have been actively and thoroughly reviewing our safety and security measures and at this time would like to share the following information with you. It is important that we all work together to reach the same goal of a safe school.

All gates will be locked at 8:45am. Should you need to visit school after this time, you will need to enter the school through the front entrance on La Palma Ave. All visitors will need to sign in and wear a Visitor's Badge while on campus.

The east side gate will be open from 2:45pm until 5:00pm. At 5:00pm the gate will be locked and you will need to enter the campus through the front entrance. Please remember if you are parking in the east parking lot BEFORE 5:00pm that the gate will be locked at 5:00pm, so you may want to park in the front lot so you can easily exit the campus after 5:00pm.

We currently will have a security guard on campus Tuesday through Thursday as we assess the required hours and days.

If you are parking your car and walking your child into the school we are requesting you hold your child's hand at all times and be aware of other cars moving around in the parking lot.

If you are utilizing drive-up service on the west side of the building please drive slowly, please do not drive distractedly, paying close attention to the other cars and students exiting their cars in front of you. Please pull all the way forward to the student services member waiting to assist your child from the car.

We cannot emphasize how important it is that we have your cooperation with all these practices. A safe and secure environment requires the cooperation of everyone. Think of the outstanding example we are all setting for your children.

As always, we thank you for your continued support and for sharing your children with us every day.   Please remember we are here to serve you and your children in any way we can.

Please call if you have any questions about any of these policies and procedures.
