Hurricane Sandy Support
Thank you to all the Second Grade parents and students for spear-heading the Bake Sale for Hurricane Sandy support. The Bake Sale was very successful and it was wonderful to see all of our student body supporting this effort.

Monday, November 12 in Observance of Veteran's Day
2nd Grade Musical, BUGZ!
On Wednesday, November 7, the second graders gave two fantastic performances of the musical Bugz! Each of our 70 students were dressed up in a creative bug costume, which filled the stage with color and life. Through song, dance, jokes and acting, the students told a story of hungry bugs getting ready for a picnic. The bugs taught each other an important lesson of friendship and kindness. Thank you to our music teacher Mrs. Zavoral for directing the show and to our wonderful second grade teachers for their help!
We are happy to announce that the children's chorus that Mrs. Zavoral started two years ago will be back in session this year! Cougar Chorus is an after school group for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. Students learn to sing in unity and harmony with Mrs. Zavoral. They perform songs in the community and at the school concert. Students enjoy making n ew friends from other grades and get a chance to focus on their singing skills.
A Cougar Chorus Information Meeting will take place on Weds, Nov 14 at 3:30 pm in the music room. At the meeting, students and parents will learn that rehearsals will take place every Friday after school from 3:30-4:30 pm, starting Nov 30. We will also discuss t-shirts, parties, free dress days, field trips and all the other fun things that come with being a chorus member! You do not need to sign up for chorus to come to the meeting.
