Print on Wood with DCS Direct Jet Inkjet Printers

DCS Direct Jet inkjet printers are amazingly effective for digital printing on wood. They allow you to print photo-quality images, logos and text directly onto wood substrates up to 6" thick. Print full-color images onto wooden signage, plaques, assembly pieces and much more.

Our Direct Jet UV printers are excellent for creating durable, vibrant prints on finished woods. The UV printing process will produce vibrant color and opaque white, even on dark woods or dark stained woods.

TEXTUR3D™ Prints – See and Feel the Difference!

Textured dial faceWhether you are creating custom promotional products; cell phone or tablet covers; stunning signage and plaques; or even industrial dial faces and equipment labeling, the high-speed Direct Jet 1024UVHS printer with Color Byte RIP 9 can bring your projects to new heights with breakthrough TEXTUR3D™ printing.

Rather than running multiple passes to put down clear, white and color, use RIP 9's three groups of print head channels to print any combination of two or three of these channels simultaneously, inline in a single pass. Through this innovative process, RIP 9 is able to offer remarkable single-pass, raised-texture options. Create both textured and standard flat prints on plastics, acrylic, wood, metals and much more.*

Click here to see more samples of TEXTUR3D™ Prints, or check out this Tech Tip to see how easy it is to create TEXTUR3D™ prints in RIP 9.

RIP 9 is now shipping with the new high-speed Direct Jet 1024UVHS, and it will soon be available as an upgrade for Direct Jet 1024UV and 1014UV users. TEXTUR3D™ printing in RIP 9 is available on Direct Jet 1024UVHS, Direct Jet 1024UV and 1014UV models. Contact us today for details.

* Always test new substrates for image accuracy and durability.

Tech Tip: UV Printing Onto Reflective, Shiny and Mirrored Surfaces
DCS Tech Tips

Printing Onto Reflective, Shiny and Mirrored SurfacesGlass and crystal products are just a couple of the many reflective, shiny and/or mirrored (RSM substrates) surfaces that you may wish to personalize or decorate with your Direct Jet UV printer. Printing to these RSM substrates presents a specific type of challenge. You must avoid allowing the UV light to bounce back into the print head. The light can cure the inks in the nozzles and on the nozzle plate, which can cause serious damage that can significantly decrease the life of your print head.

Click here for a series of simple procedures that will help you minimize this risk when printing on RSM substrates.
