NEW InkMark™ UV Coated Plastics and Metals for UV LED Inkjet Printers

InkMark UVDCS has expanded its popular line of InkMark™ pre-coated substrates with options that are compatible with our breakthrough, compact Direct Jet UV LED printers and inks.

While InkMark UV metal and plastic substrates can be used on any UV flatbed printer, they are optimized to accept DCS's UV LED inks without the use of any chemical wipe or adhesion promoter, allowing you to more easily and economically create durable images with a greater resistance to scratches and many perfumes and solvents, including 100% isopropyl alcohol. They also resist chipping and delamination when sheared, sawn or engraved. Applications include safety signs, name badges, business cards, recognition awards, signage, desk and door plates, machine labeling, bag tags and much more.

InkMark UV Metals are coated aluminum substrates that are available in white, brushed platinum, silver and gold finishes. Plastic InkMark UV substrates are available in two base plastic resins and a variety of color combinations. DR Acrylic is suitable for exterior applications and can be laser cut, cut with rotating carbide, sawed, drilled or bent with heat. ABS Plastic can be profiled with rotating carbide, scored, cut with shears or bent with heat, with no predrilling required. InkMark UV substrates are available in standard sizes from 1" x 3" (25.4mm x 76.4mm) up to 24" x 48" (609mm x 1219mm), with custom sizes and shapes also available.

InkMark UV is ideal for use with the recently released Direct Jet 1024UVHS with TEXTUR3D™ On Board – a high-speed addition to our extremely versatile UV LED inkjet printer line – and Color Byte RIP 9, advanced design and RIP software that enables such advanced features as single-pass inline printing of multiple groups of print head channels and raised-textured printing.

A New DCS Printer Could Qualify You for a Tax Deduction!

InkMark UVDid you know that your DCS printer may qualify as a tax write-off? That's right! To put it simply, U.S.-based businesses that purchased, financed, or leased new or used equipment between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012 can take a full tax deduction up to $139,000 on that equipment under Section 179 of the IRS tax code. There is a $560,000 limit on equipment purchases before the deduction is reduced, after which new equipment may qualify for a 50% Bonus Depreciation. Section 179 was created specifically to help businesses, which means most business equipment will qualify.

For complete information on Section 179 Deduction and Bonus Depreciation, as well as a complete list of qualifying equipment, consult a tax professional. Please note that Section 179 is not an automatic deduction, so be sure to tell your tax advisor that you wish to take it.
