Direct Jet 1024UVHS - New High-Speed, Small-Format UV LED Flatbed Printer Featuring Inline Printing with TEXTUR3D™ On Board

Direct Jet UVHS - New High-Speed, Small-Format UV LED Flatbed Printer Featuring Inline Printing with TEXTUR3D™ On BoardDCS has added a new dimension to the crisp, full-color images of its small-format UV LED inkjet printer line, introducing a high-speed model that utilizes inline printing and produces breakthrough 3D textured prints.

The Direct Jet 1024UVHS with TEXTUR3D™ On Board boasts enhanced X-axis motion for up to a 50 percent increase* in throughput over its predecessors. When paired with DCS's advanced Color Byte RIP 9 software, the 1024UVHS becomes a complete versatile printing solution. Any combination of two or three of RIP 9's groups of white, color and clear print head channels can print simultaneously, inline in a single pass. Through this innovative process, RIP 9 is able to offer remarkable single-pass and raised-texture options. TEXTUR3D™ 3-dimensional prints offer a unique look and feel that will bring users' projects to new heights. RIP 9 also integrates seamlessly with industry-standard design programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW and Color Byte to streamline production processes.

The 1024UVHS has a printable area of 10" x 24" (254mm x 610mm) and prints on substrates up to 6" (152mm) thick. Like all of DCS's UV LED Direct Jet printers, its white ink creates a very opaque image, allowing users to print vibrant colors and crisp text onto virtually any colored or transparent substrate. DCS's UV LED inks create images with outstanding solvent and abrasion durability on wood, metals, ceramic tiles, plastics, glass, industrial parts, promotional products and much more.

DCS will be debuting this cutting-edge technology at the SGIA Expo in Las Vegas (booth #2913), running October 18-20, and will be holding the DCS EAA Annual Distributor Meeting in Porto, Portugal from Nov. 1-2. Come see and feel the difference of the 1024UVHS's TEXTUR3D™ prints for yourself! Click here to view full specifications on directcolorsystems.com.

This year at SGIA, DCS is introducing an all-new high speed UV printer: the Direct Jet 1024UVHS with TEXTUR3D™ On Board. This cutting-edge new printer allows you to print up to 50% faster than previous Direct Jet models*. Also featured will be our brand-new Color Byte RIP 9. Get a first look at this amazing new system. Print directly from 3rd party programs (such as Colorbyte, Adobe® Photoshop®, Adobe® Illustrator®, and CorelDRAW®) to RIP 9. Rather than run multiple passes to put down clear, white, and color, use RIP 9's three groups of print head channels to print any combination of two or three of these channels simultaneously, inline in a single pass. Through this innovative process, RIP 9 is also able to offer remarkable, single-pass raised-texture options to bring your projects to new heights. Come see and feel the difference of our TEXTUR3D™ prints for yourself!

DCS will also be exhibiting our extremely versatile Direct Jet 1014UV and 1024UV models, which offer large table sizes and height allowances at an economical price point. Our UV LED inks are very flexible and won't crack or flake off, even in very flexible vinyl applications. You can print crisp text and vibrant, full-color images using UV inks on wood, stainless steel, ceramic tiles, plastics, glass, aluminum, and more. Come see our breakthrough UV LED and Ink technologies at SGIA Expo.

The various DCS printers utilize cutting-edge technology to deliver rich, full-color images directly onto substrates up to 13" x 24" x 6" tall, making them a great solution for digital decorating. Tech Tip: Creating Arrays using Color Byte Software

Creating Arrays using Color Byte SoftwareTech TipsIf you ever need to print duplicates of a single image at once, you'll be grateful for the Array function in Color Byte Rip 8 and Rip 9.

The Array feature creates patterns using selected shapes as a basis. Copies of the original shapes are used to fill out the array. By using arrays in your workflow, the need to manually gang-up multiples of the image to be printed is eliminated - the Array feature does all the work for you.

To create an array, first select the object you want to duplicate. Next, choose Layout > Array from the menu.

Now, you can choose from a variety of options for the array, including spacing, rotation and arrangement of copies in the array grid. Finally, select the number of objects across and/or down the substrate area. Congratulations - you've created an array!
