Thank you Muckleshoot Indian Tribe!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, several hundred more of our youngest students will be learning about basic music concepts, singing songs with their classmates, and learning about different instruments and cultures from around the world.

Music Lessons Enhance Brain Function in Disadvantaged Kids

Meadow Crest Loves First Note!

Earlier this month, the Children's Music Foundation delivered 4 more First Note kits to Meadow Crest Early Learning Center in Renton, Washington.  Erin Jacob (pictured) was preparing her classroom for the new school year, and the second year with First Note.

Meadow Crest  provides an inclusive preschool program for 3 to 5 year olds.  Children who are typically developing and those with special needs are served in the same classroom.

So Does Central Park!

"I have started using the First Note music program. I am really enjoying the informative lessons. The students are also enjoying the lessons. Students get to move, speak, sing, and play an instrument in each lesson. The program keeps students engaged.
I use this program with my kindergarten classes. I also have started to use with first and some second grades. I am really enjoying the First Note program. I am looking forward to future lessons."
