Celebrating our impact
CCA evaluates projects in 12 countries
|
November 23 - 26 is Global Evaluation Week, a week to highlight and strengthen evaluation capacity around the world and CCA has some exciting evaluation news to share.
In 2015, CCA undertook its most in-depth evaluation of its largest ever program and we are very pleased to share the results with you.

Full results are found here: CCA Evaluation Results
We are proud of these results, but we are also proud of the evaluation itself which was a culmination of four years of work building CCA's institutional capacity. A special team of CCA staff worked six months to prepare the report. Past evaluations have been externally driven and not always focused on the questions CCA or our partners wanted answered about our programming.
We took an in-depth look at the work we did in 12 countries over 18 projects, assessing the impact of our gender and environmental work, collating information from projects ranging from microfinance, climate resilience, agriculture and eco-tourism.

So what now?
The purpose of this evaluation was to assess our impact and most importantly, improve our programming based on evidence. We are already using these valuable lessons learned in the design of new CCA projects and are sharing these results with our partners as we expand our programming and look forward to replicating this impact. The evaluation uncovered many impressive statistics and results. One of the most important results is that it proves the basic premise of co-operatives, people working together accomplish more than those working alone.
CCA thanks everyone who participated in this Program, notably the staff, partners, Canadian volunteers, local consultants and the
