Well, it seems like summer has arrived a bit early after a cold and wet spring. New Hampshire Bike Week is once again here, and thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts are descending upon the Lakes Region.

One of my favorite things about Bike Week is that many people use it as their first compelling reason of the year to get out on their motorcycles. So, if Bike Week is the proverbial "line in the sand" to get a motorcycle out and ride it, then it is really good for all of us. Why? Because the car drivers who have spent the last months ignoring us, not noticing us, and cutting us off, are now once again aware of motorcycles because they are truly everywhere. This benefits all of us.

Fourteen years ago this June, Great Bay Motorcycles really started to become a Triumph destination. We rapidly became the largest Triumph dealership in our region and we have remained in that position ever since. Back then we sold one brand of motorcycle, TRIUMPH. This Sunday, June 9th, meet us at Great Bay at 8:30 a.m. for a comfortable ride on some back roads with a stop to check out the early madness of bike week. Doughnuts at the shop begin at 8:30 and we plan to leave by 9:00. Please show up with a full fuel tank, a clear head, a helmet, and be ready for a safe and fun ride. *Note: this ride was originally billed as Kenn's ride. Due to scheduling challenges, Kenn cannot lead this one, and is scheduling a ride for a later date to be announced soon. So, those of you who join us will be riding with Randy and some guy named Don.

The event features instruction provided by Penguin Racing, lots of camaraderie, great bikes, and some special guests, including pro rider AMA/Moto GP star Doug Chandler.
