Happy New Year to all our readers and we sincerely hope that Thailand will continue to improve politically as much good has happened since the coup last May and although tourism was down 5-10% last year, we always bounce back and in Phuket more and more families are spending time here as one of the best world holiday destinations. Marshall law should be lifted this year and has no effect whatsoever on visitors enjoyment which will please the doubters.
The military cleanup of all beaches has had a marvelous effect country wide and one can really appreciate the golden sands previously hidden by sunbeds and hawkers. Bring your own mat and umbrella is allowed throughout Thailand!
