Well living here in Thailand there is never a boring moment and as you know there was yet another coup on May 22nd and martial law is presently in place (rumoured to be dropped soon). All curfews have been lifted and unless living in Bangkok you will not see a soldier in most resort locations. In fact, if we did not have the general media we would not know of any problem existed! Our lives have not been affected at all and we are glad to say nor has anyone touring here whether in Bangkok or popular tourist destinations such as Pattaya, Phuket etc.
The worlds press have been misinterpreting the situation and making some really bad sensational reports and have absolutely no idea of Thai culture and politics. Most ex-pats living here for many years are angry at the USA, UK and Australia especially for reporting which has been so inaccurate.
