Phuket and Thailand are expecting record tourist numbers this high season and the airport international arrivals back this up.
PHUKET INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
Most of our readers are regular visitors to Thailand for holidays and maybe considering investing here in property in the future either for investment return, retirement, or a holiday home.
Many people ask why Thailand property holds its prices in a global recession and remains stable and in most cases increases in value. Simple answer, foreigners are unable to obtain mortgages here, so all property is bought for cash and hence owners are mainly not in a rush to sell. Having a stable property market benefits everyone and Thailand is still a "green" market as new projects are still being built all over the country and until new off plan property is all sold, the property market will remain so, in the meantime resale property will continue to sell. It is worth mentioning that many buyers whom bought property here a few years ago, are able to offer good discounts to prospective buyers due to the exchange rates when they repatriate their sale funds outside of Thailand. New off plan projects are still great value and buying early in the development, prices are considerably lower than the completed price (as much as 30-40% less) guaranteeing the buyer a handsome profit at completion.
