WRRDA amendments and Committee Report released; House vote tomorrow
The U.S. House of Representatives will be taking up the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA) tomorrow. In advance of this action, the Rules Committee has released a list of amendments submitted for consideration and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee (T&I) has released their full Committee Report. PNWA staff has reviewed both documents and will be providing our thoughts to the Northwest House delegation as the legislation is considered tomorrow.
PNWA provided our initial thoughts on WRRDA when it was first introduced. Over 100 amendments were submitted by 10am this morning on various water resource policies and projects. The Rules Committee will be reviewing all amendments tonight to determine the terms of debate and consideration tomorrow by the House. The final vote is expected to take place by tomorrow evening.
PNWA has been urging Members of the Northwest Delegation to support passage of WRRDA, so that the bill can be conferenced by the House and Senate later this year. If you have any questions or feedback, please contact Heather Stebbings.
