PNWA Annual Convention Recap

The 2013 PNWA Annual Convention took place October 2-4 and was a great success. Over 140 regional and national leaders attended the conference. Topics of conversation included updates from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Coast Guard, efforts to address environmental issues in the northwest, economic and political forecasts, and much more!

The 2013 Gala Reception included presentation of this year's Distinguished Service Awards to Sheryl Carrubba (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), Walt Evans (Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt), Don Mann (Port of Newport), Jim Neva (Port of Ilwaco), and Jim Toomey (Port of Pasco). Many thanks to Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt and Westwood Shipping Lines for helping us put on such a fun event!

The agenda also included adoption of PNWA's 2014 Projects and Policies document and the election of a new Board President, Kim B. Puzey (General Manager, Port of Umatilla).
