  • Melinda Ludwiczak retires as MELSA Project Manager Apr 14. Prior to coming to MELSA, Melinda worked at Minneapolis Public Library & Hennepin County Library. Melinda's last advise to MELSA libraries? "Keep doing your magic!"
  • Andrea McKennan will be joining the MELSA staff as a Project Manager. Andrea brings a diverse set of experience & skills to the position. This includes time working as a Public welcome sign Information Specialist II for the St. Paul Public Library. Andrea will coordinate Legacy programs & serve as staff facilitator for MELSA's E-Government and Job & Small Business Task Forces. She will start on Apr 25.

  • St. Catherine University MLIS Summit, Mon, May 2, 5:00-8:00pm, Rauenhorst Ballroom, 3rd Floor, CdC, Saint Paul Campus. Register online by date Mon, Apr 18.
  • Attend Regional Meetings to Strengthen Adult Learning Communities. Join colleagues from adult education, libraries, & workforce development for Better Together, a full-day learning opportunity. Attendees also will have a chance to work with local partners to develop a collaborative project. or more information, to request an accommodation, or to be included on a mailing list for future announcements, contact Emily Kissane (651-582-8508).  Register for meetings:

    • May 9-Mankato at Country Inn and Suites
    • May 16-Grand Rapids at Saw Mill Inn
  • Registration is open for EQS 2016. Register early; space is limited. Early-bird registration is $75 for each non-University of Minnesota Libraries registrant. Lunch is included. After May 1, registration is $90. The deadline for registration is May 11.
