From afar: Paula Fischer is a Naif painter from Bariloche, Argentina an Aspen Sister City. I met her last March when she was here with her husband who is part of the surgeons' exchange with Aspen Orthopedics Associates. I am smitten by Naif paintings and found Paula's charming. It is my intention (very much delayed until now) to have a serious artist exchange with Bariloche and Paula's paintings.

CREATIVE SPACES: Revitalizing a Town With Art
Creative Spaces is a collaboration among artists, property owners, the Basalt Area Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Basalt. Showcasing Basalt's prime empty retail spaces with art until the space is leased or sold. Creative Spaces is an evolving community project which now includes an outdoor space.
Creative Space I is located at 227 Midland Avenue #14A and features Dave Durrance paintings, Dave Struempler furniture, some with marquetry art, and Rick Stevens Native American.
