Keeping up with what's new, hot and cutting edge is our business. In order to better push you out of your comfort zone, we have to stay on top of the trends, most current information and leading news on health, fitness and nutrition. At TABCC we pride ourselves at leading the pack, and now American Boot Camp Company's owner, Mari Geier, gives her assessment of what's to come and what needs to go in terms of health and fitness trends for 2014. Check it out:
WHAT'S TRENDING?
- Quinoa and Super Foods: Eat these and be more healthy. Make 2014 the healthiest yet by adding one of these each month! Click here for a full list
- Eating local: There is a farmers markets on every corner in Atlanta. We even have a Farm Mobile that drives around delivering a mish mash of local food year round. With such easy access, why not buy local.
- HIIT: High intensity interval training. At TABCC we have been leading the way with this type of interval training for nearly 10 years. Although it is just now becoming main stream, these workouts combine intense bouts activity with active rests and burn a ton of calories. Try a HIIT workout for FREE
- Showing your sweat with post workout group pics : No more selfies post workout, grab your buddies and the closest stranger and hand over your phone! Snap a picture and post it! Don't forget to add in @doyoubootcamp when you post.
WHAT'S FADING?
- Trainers that are not positive or put you down: Accountability needs to be tough, but not negative. Shaming a client into action or telling someone they are WRONG because they don't move the same way, eat the same way or choose the same type of workout is not cool and should fade away forever.
- Extreme diets that you can't stick with: Juice cleanses, elimination diets with no end, bacon and kale diets...these extreme eating plans might work for a week, but will not help you be healthy long term. If you want to thrive, balance is key. Check out the top two trends above for ideas on what you should eat.
- Fitness Boot Camp?...
WHAT?? Fitness boot camp is fading? According to fitness industry expert, Pat Rigsby, "We're already seeing the death of fitness boot camp on every corner." His claim is that many boot camps lump all the participants in the same group and force them into a one-size-fits-all workout. And that's true!
Fortunately for you, The American Boot Camp Company's fitness boot camp program has never used that approach! We break our groups up so that each fitness level and each participant gets a workout that meets their needs! (We're TRENDING: Customized skill classes)
Needless to say, these are just predictions. At TABCC we can guarantee that we will always provide creative solutions to your fitness needs. See how The American Boot Camp Company is leading the way in 2014.
