With the buzz of festive merriment behind us once again, we hope you have had a very Merry Christmas. We would like to thank everybody for your loyalty and support through 2012 and we are extremely grateful for all your valued feedback, everything goes into our melting pot! Following are some NEW items for 2013.

From MONDAY 7th JANUARY - MONDAY TO THURSDAY

Varying from week to week, Monday to Thursday, our Specials board will feature two £5 lunch specials and from 5pm will feature two £10 Dinner Specials! So if you can't cook, won't cook or simply want us

to cook we have the solution!

From 9am, MONDAY 14th JANUARY 

We are re-launching our menu, more 'brasserie' in style for the daytime with the a la carte menu for dinner service. We will re-introduce breakfast, adding brunch, lunch and afternoon tea available throughout the day. There will be a short break between 4pm and 5pm to give the kitchen a chance to prepare for the evening. You'll be able to drop in for our Canbury Full English, a wider variety of small plates, salads, sandwiches and vegetarian dishes. Still very much on the menu are our Canbury Classics such as our Pork Belly, Pie and Canbury Burger - food, big or small all day, Monday to Saturday!

OUR OFFERS FOR 2013

Our Wednesday Night Steak Night (2 Rib-Eye Steaks and a bottle of house wine £40.00) will continue throughout 2013.

MEETINGS, PARTIES AND EVENTS AT THE CANBURY ARMS

Our Garden Room is available for meetings, parties and events and can comfortably accommodate up to 70 guests for a reception drinks and dinner or up to 100 for drinks and canapés. Also, we occasionally hire out the entire pub for up to 150 guests.

CHILD POLICY

Unfortunately we have received numerous complaints over the last year relating to children in the pub. These complaints have come from parents visiting with their children who make every attempt to adhere to our policy, parents visiting without their children and also non-parents. We endeavour to create an environment that is appealing to everyone within our community and respectfully ask for your help in striking the right balance.

Below is a reminder of our Child Policy:

We welcome families with children to The Canbury Arms. Family gatherings are a regular feature especially on Saturday and Sunday lunch times, school and public holidays.

To ensure an enjoyable, relaxing and pleasurable experience for all our customers, we ask parents to supervise their children at all times and if it helps, bring along colouring books or similar entertainment.

In the interests of safety of children, other customers and staff we require children to remain seated at their parents table and must be accompanied to the toilets. Also, for legal reasons children are not allowed at the bar.

The Garden Room of The Canbury Arms is reserved primarily for families with children but the emphasis is on adult enjoyment.

The main pub interior is reserved for customers unaccompanied by children.

During the evening children over the age of 8 are welcome with their parents sitting as a family group. Families with children under 8 are asked to time their visit so that they can leave by 7:30pm. Our children's menu is available up to 6:00pm and the dinner menus are available from 5:00pm so that an early family supper is always possible. We do ask that babies or children in distress are comforted promptly to avoid disturbing other customers.

We exercise discretion in the implementation of this policy and special arrangements can be discussed with the duty manager.
