NACPM is excited to share news with you about our upcoming webinar offerings in the on-going series: CPM Practice and Association News. This series is co-sponsored by the Association of Midwifery Educators (AME), and is supported by Citizens for Midwifery (CfM).
The first webinar in this series, NACPM Works for You: 2014 Annual Meeting, took place on November 20th. This webinar is archived for those of you who were not able to participate in the live meeting. This first-ever virtual NACPM annual meeting was very well received. We thank those of you who took part to hear reports on the scope of work that NACPM is doing for you, and who contributed your questions and comments during the discussion. Your participation was much appreciated!

NACPM is delighted to welcome Sarah Buckley, MD, to present her exciting research on the hormonal physiology of birth, and how hormonal systems contribute to optimal outcomes for mothers and babies. Dr. Buckley, trained family physician, mother of four, and author of Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering will present the findings from her upcoming report soon to be published byChildbirth Connection, a core program of the National Partnership for Women and Families.
This webinar will also include an overview of plans for dissemination of this groundbreaking report, and how CPMs can contribute to ensuring that this information expands access to physiologic birth in communities across the country. Collaborative initiatives from NACPM, ACNM and MANA to support providers, policy makers, health systems and consumers in increasing access to physiologic birth will also be discussed.
