UPDATE: Webinars

Due to evolving arrangements with speakers, the 2nd NACPM webinar in the series, CPM Practice and Association News, - Improving Home to Hospital Transfer - will not take place on December 4th as originally announced.  This webinar will still take place later in December.  Next week we will be able to provide you with the new date and you will be able to register for this exciting offering.

Home birth summit

The date for the 3rd webinar in this series, How Your Data Matters to Research and Quality Care, will move to early January, 2015.  We will provide you with this new date next week as well.

Promoting Healthy Physiologic Birth in the U.S., with keynote speaker Sarah Buckley, author of Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering, will still take place on the announced date: Wednesday, January 21st at 7:00 pm.  Registration will be available soon.

Thank you for your interest in this exciting series - we look forward to sharing and talking with you about these topics in upcoming weeks.
UPDATE: Virtual Annual Meeting

Almost 70 CPMs and stakeholders joined the NACPM board, staff, consultants and volunteers on November 20th for a successful 1st Virtual NACPM Annual Meeting!  Thank you to all who participated and helped make this an exciting event with your comments and questions.  For those of you who were not able to join us on November 20th, the powerpoint presentation and recording of the meeting are available on our website. Here is a sample of what participants had to say about their experience:

  • Very efficient way to communicate with members
  • I loved getting a sense of the scope of the work you have been doing
  • The presentations were thorough, well-organized and concise
  • Great to hear ways you are working to meet the expressed needs and desires of the membership
  • Loved the online format and concise reports given by each presenter
  • The breaks for audience questions were a great idea
  • More time for questions please
  • I've been to many virtual meetings, but none as efficient as this one
  • You inspired me to join NACPM for the first time through this meeting.  I was genuinely impressed with NACPM - your demonstrated commitment to anti-racism work in midwifery decided it for me
  • Would like time for an open forum when members can make proposals to the board

The NACPM leadership team deeply appreciates these opportunities to share and talk with you about issues of importance - thank you!  We are thinking of all of you in this season of Thanksgiving, and we wish you and your families the happiest of holidays.

With all best wishes,
