Pentangle Volunteers Needed

for Summer 2013!

Dear Pentangle friends,

Please consider sharing a part of your summer by volunteering at Pentangle!

We are looking for volunteers to help with many wonderful events from June through August. From our annual Brown Bag series on The Green and 4th of July celebration at the High School, to the exciting Vermont Symphony Orchestra event at Suicide Six, to general office assistance...there's bound to be something that fits your interests and schedule, and it all helps bring great arts events to life for the community.

A full list of summer volunteer opportunities is provided below. Please send an email to Wendy at info@pentanglearts.org as soon as possible to let us know what events/dates interest you, and we'll be back in touch to get you scheduled! (Note that some events have a different point of contact; see details below.)

Pentangle Brown Bag Concert Series

Thursdays, June 27th - August 22nd

Woodstock Village Green

Shifts: 11:00 am to approx. 1:30 pm

Sign up for one or more concerts, according to your availability

Duties include:

Carrying/transporting items to and from the Green (tables, chairs, collateral materials, etc.)
Helping to set up and staff the Pentangle table, and break down the setup afterwards
Assisting with artist merchandise sales (comfort with cash-handling, etc. is important)
Circulating donation basket and upcoming-event promo among patrons
Assist patrons as needed with questions, way-finding, and general positive interaction
Assist with Pentangle's new "Fill a Brown Bag for the Food Shelf" initiative

Woodstock July 4th Celebration

Thursday, July 4th

Woodstock Union High School

Late afternoon/evening

Duties for Pentangle include:

Collect voluntary parking donations from arriving patrons - 6:15 - 8:15 pm
Assist with Popcorn sales at the Pentangle tent - 5 pm until after the fireworks.

Other organizations need help, too! VT Volunteer Services for Animals Humane Society (VVSA) is looking for volunteers to help with carnival/children's games and other activities at their July 4th tent. If interested, please click here to email Sue Skaskiw directly to schedule a shift.

Pentangle Box Office Volunteering

If you have helped with our box office ticket sales in the past, or if you are interested in learning, please contact Wendy at info@pentanglearts.org to sign up for a box office shift.

Weekdays, June 17th - July 5th: Flexible shifts
On-site tickets sales, July 5th: Approx. 4:00 - 8:00 pm

Pentangle poster and rack-card distribution

Help distribute event posters and cards around Woodstock and surrounding towns.

Weekly and one-time routes available - tell us which towns you regularly visit!
