Dear El Rodeo Families,

Welcome back to another year of soaring with the Eagles! This year we have set a theme of Caring as a focus across the campus. We will work with students to develop a strong sense of empathy and genuine kindness in their interactions with one another both on campus and in the community.

In addition, our Instructional Leadership Team, in conjunction with our School Site Council, have developed a new vision statement that is posted in every classroom and office across the school. We will use that statement as a broad guide toward growing and improving the programs we offer our students.

I want to encourage our parents to get involved in our school community by attending our PTA and School Site Council meetings. These organizations fill a critical role in keeping parents informed and provide them with a voice regarding school matters. I want to personally invite each of you to attend the Coffee with Kevin meetings this year as well. Held in the Library, these meetings will provide a more intimate setting for parents to ask questions and receive information about what is going on at school. Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, September 22nd at 8:45am.

There are several important dates that you will want to mark in your calendars.

We look forward to a great year supporting your child as they work, learn and grow. Please take advantage of the many opportunities to stay informed and engaged in their school community. It takes a village to raise a child and I remain eternally grateful to be a part of your village.

        THE EL RODEO ANNUAL FUND/PTA MEMBERSHIP DRIVE KICKOFF! 
 
The Annual Fund  Drive is El Rodeo's main fundraising campaign. Your contribution will remain right here at El Rodeo and pays for many of the fabulous school programs and services.  Our goal is 100% participation! Please keep an eye out for a packet that will be mailed to your home this week, detailing some of the amazing programs your PTA donation sponsors. To donate, simply complete the return envelope and send it in with your student or you can donate online by clicking the "donate now" icon above which will take you to the El Rodeo website. It's that simple! Everyone gives because everyone benefits!  Together, we can ensure our children  continue to receive the best education available!   
 
*If you donate the minimum recommended donation of $500 per child by September 11, 2015, you will be entered in a raffle for your child to be El Rodeo's principal for a day!

       2015-2016 STUDENT DIRECTORY
 
We are in the process of compiling the 2015-2016 El Rodeo Student Directory. The Directory is a great resource for El Rodeo families and is used throughout the year to access students, staff, and PTA Officers. We invite you to take part in the Directory and support PTA by purchasing a family tribute or a space to promote your business/company. Please click here to print the directory letter and form. 

Welcome El Rodeo Families to a new school year! We are excited about all that is planned for the 2015-2016 school year and hope you will become involved at El Rodeo and join your PTA. Research has proven that parent involvement has a powerful effect on student achievement and success.  We are here to answer any questions and to help you find the perfect opportunity to get involved.

The 8th grade class is selling pizza on Wednesdays for $2.00 a slice. We will be at El Rodeo after school, every Wednesday, for kids to purchase pizza to help the 8th grade graduation.
 
 

EL RODEO SPIRIT WEAR

Let's go El Rodeo! Spirit wear will be sold once a week after school (from 2-3:30pm), and at special school events. The school encourages Spirit Fridays where all students and faculty wear some kind of El Rodeo spirit wear! A few special sell dates are:
