Cayuga County Fall Newsletter

Greetings!

The Finger Lakes are one of the most popular places in the northeast to take in fall foliage. Our cool evening temperatures and relatively warm days, along with just the right humidity and variety of trees make the colorful transformation from summer to winter a photographers delight!
Cayuga County Travel Market Research Report now available
Sound marketing decisions are based on good research and with that in mind the Cayuga County Office of Tourism makes travel market research a priority in our marketing plan. We have just completed a new study to provide us data that will:

  • Address the very unique aspects of Cayuga County as a tourism destination.
  • Explore regional visitation patterns and the share of visitors within the region that come to Cayuga County.
  • Identify by market segment those attractions within the County, which drive tourism and generate overnight and repeat visitors to Cayuga County.
  • Evaluate overall ROI (return on investment) potential for Cayuga County Tourism marketing.
  • Determine policy and organizational objectives.

Over the coming months, the board and staff will craft the information generated from the report into a 5-year strategic plan for Cayuga County Tourism with the objective of growing the number of visitors and visitor spending in the County for the benefit of all who live here.

We encourage our tourism partners to review the report and use the data for their own future marketing plans so we all move in a compatible path forward.
