JFS touched so many this year.See some of the ways your contribution made an impact:
Strengthening Children & Families
- Over 65 elementary school students received academic enrichment, tutoring and mentoring in math, literacy and science.
- JFS distributed over 1,000 bags of fresh fruits and vegetables to more than 100 families at Framingham's Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in the 2011-2012 school year. Over 400 individuals were impacted!
- JFS helped over 90 individuals apply for US citizenship.
Keeping Elders Safe & Healthy
- Through JFS, 140 seniors participated in almost 300 activities and chronic disease management classes.
- Over 300 adults and seniors were able to stay in their homes because of home care, geriatric care management and healthy aging programs provided by JFS.
Making Ends Meet
- JFS provided thousands of dollars to help pay essential bills to those affected by the economic downturn.
- JFS, through the Family Assistance Network, responded to over 700 individuals/290 families by providing counseling, face-to-face support and guidance.
Build Community
- JFS connected over 60 pre-bar and bat mitzvah youth and older teens with Jewish seniors, for regular and monthly gatherings.
- JFS brought together 400 families with young children through over 30 events.
- JFS built 25 families through adoption this year and 875 families since we opened our doors.
