The Autism Outreach Project offers an exciting schedule of workshops for the 2014-2015 school year designed to provide the tools and information necessary to effectively educate learners on the autism spectrum. Educators, parents, early childhood providers, and community members are invited to learn valuable information and strategies; network with other professionals and family members; and share resources, advice, and support.

Thanks to the Bellingham School District, several of the workshops will be offered in our local area through the use of interactive video conference with live presenters. There are reduced rates available for parents who wish to participate. Some of the upcoming workshops that will be offered in Bellingham include:

Friday, November 7 - Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis and Discrete Trial Training for Students with Autism, Nancy Rosenberg, Ph.D., BCBA-D. Click here to register.
Thursday, November 20 - Emotion Regulation and Anxiety management in Autism. Crystal Gray, Ph.D. Click here to register.
Monday, December 8 - Addressing Challenging Behaviors in Students with Autism Using Positive Behavior Support (Beginning), Nancy Rosenberg, Ph.D., BCBA-D. Click here to register.

Candidates want your vote. In order to help you, the voter, make informed decisions about who should represent you, The Arc of Washington has created two questionnaires, one on congressional issues and one targeted at state level issues. Whether in Congress on the national level or in our State Legislature, you need to know how much these candidates know about the issues affecting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc of Washington State sent questionnaires to the candidates and has posted each response received on their website.
