11th Annual Buddy Walk

The Buddy WalkŪ is a fun and rewarding opportunity to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October.
The event will feature a one mile walk around beautiful Fairhaven, and all ages and abilities are invited to participate. After the walk, there will be food, entertainment, a silent auction and other fun activities for families to enjoy. All participants will receive a fun shirt and lunch!
Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, your participation and generosity are greatly appreciated! Anyone can be a buddy!

The State Independent Living Council is appointed by the Governor to guide development of and promote access to independent living services for individuals with disabilities statewide. The council works to increase opportunities for self-determination and empowerment of people with disabilities, and to create awareness of people with disabilities as a valuable human resource. They welcome your feedback concerning your experiences and concerns.

YOUNG ADULT SELF-ADVOCACY MEETING | |

Are you between the ages of 16 and 30? Are you an eligible client of the Developmental Disabilities Administration? If you answered yes to both questions, then you are welcome to join!
We will play games and get to know each other. We will learn about helping others and helping ourselves. You need not have any special skills to join the group. We will find the best way for everyone to have fun together. All meetings are free!
