 THE EVERYBODY FAIR  

 

Sunday, September 7, 1-5pm

Depot Market Square

Railroad Ave. & E. Maple St.

Bellingham

 

The Arc of Whatcom County, Bellingham Parks & Recreation, and Max Higbee Center are hosting the first annual Everybody Fair: A Disability Celebration for all members of our community.

 

 

The event will feature hands on activities, live music, and performances for all ages, including presentations by juggler Jason Quick, Out of the Ashes, Holly Swanson, motivational speaker Kayla Day, and more! Activities include art, drumming, cycling, karate, gardening, a tot lot, face painting, climbing, and an inspirational multimedia presentation. Meet representatives from numerous agencies providing information about the many services available in our community. Everybody is invited to this celebration!

STRENGTHENING SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS

 

Tues, Sept. 16, 6-8pm

Invited special guests include the special education directors from across Whatcom County. This is a great opportunity to meet them in a relaxed environment and begin a healthy working relationship.

 

Learn effective strategies that parents and school professionals can use to improve the educational experience for children with developmental disabilities. Through this workshop, learn how to:

  • Develop and sustain positive relationships
  • Focus on the child's needs
  • Find win-win solutions
