SILVER REEF GETAWAY RAFFLE PACKAGE

NEED A FUN GETAWAY?How about a relaxing overnight at The Silver Reef Hotel, dinner at the Red River Café and a massage? Sounds just about perfect, right? This is a fabulous gift for yourself or your favorite someone! Raffle tickets are $10 each and can be purchased online. All money raised goes directly to The Arc's programs supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

iPAD GRANTS AVAILABLE | |
iPad 2 Grant Applications Open!
Autism Speaks is thrilled to announce that through the generosity of Sevenly, Wyndham Worldwide, the Geier Foundation, the James Walter Pickle Charitable Foundation, the Agarwal Foundation and Jonathan Izak, 800 schools and financially disadvantaged individuals with autism will receive an Apple iPad 2 with a Kraken A.M.S. case, by Trident Case. Eligible applicants are individuals who:
- Have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder by a licensed professional
- Reside in the United States
- Have limited income and cannot afford to purchase an iPad
The application deadline is Friday, November 8 at 11:59PM EST. Please visit the Autism Speaks website to apply.

Hearings Start This Week:
Senators Need to Hear from YOU on the Disability Treaty!
The failure of the U.S. Senate to ratify The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) last year means that we have to garner more support for this important treaty this year.
The Arc of the United States is thrilled that the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee has scheduled a hearing on the treaty on November 12. In advance of this next hearing, we need you to contact members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee today. It is necessary for you to reach out now because committee members to know that the disability community supports the CRPD - they are hearing from the treaty's opponents, and we need to make our position known NOW!
