 SURPRISE PARTY FOR SPECIAL DOCTOR
(THIS WEEKEND!)
McGuinnessHave you had the opportunity to work with Dr. Scott McGuinness at Peace Health?
He has served our community as a wonderful, dedicated pediatrician for many years and cared for many children who have serious medical issues and/or developmental disabilities. While we are sad to see him leave the pediatric group, we are excited that he will continue his service at the hospital.

The Arc of Whatcom County and local families are helping to host a celebration to honor his great service...and we'd love for you to join us! This SURPRISE party for Dr. McGuinness is being held at Peace Health on Sunday, January 20th from 2-4pm.

Please contact Amy: (360) 715-0170, ext 309, amym@arcwhatcom.org if you are able to join our celebration or would like more information.

MLK: JUSTICE FOR ALL!

Martin Luther King spoke out loud and clear for justice. Next Monday is the annual MLK holiday - a perfect day to remember people who have made a difference for self-advocates:
  • People who spoke up when it was not popular.
  • People who fought to make laws better.
  • People who led by example.
  • People who never gave up.
  • People who did small but important things.
Progress happens because people worked for it. Let's remember them and continue to promote justice for all!
