The Arc's Dan Godwin Community Center

doctor visitEver left an important appointment feeling disappointed? Perhaps you forgot to ask a question or make a particular point?
It's happened to all of us and it usually is because we weren't prepared. Other times, we have allowed the professional to be in charge of the meeting and haven't felt comfortable offering opinions or alternative solutions.

This workshop will help you prepare and organize yourself and your family for successful, productive appointments with schools, doctors, and government agencies. Please RSVP: 715-0170, ext. 303, monicab@arcwhatcom.org.

HALLOWEEN PARTY...WOW!

marcus

Thank you to everyone who made The Arc's (first annual) Halloween Party such a success! WOW! There were nearly 150 people who attended and enjoyed yummy treats, played fun games and connected with other families. What a unique opportunity for fun, inclusion and new friendships!

A special thank you to Kohls and Bob Wallin Insurance for their financial support and Cupcakes Like it Sweet for the delicious lil' cakes! And of course it wouldn't have been possible without the friendliness and dedication of our wonderful volunteers - thanks to each and every one of you!

If you would like to get involved or if you have ideas for other events to increase awareness and inclusion in our community, please contact Amy at The Arc: 360-715-0170, ext. 309, amym@arcwhatcom.org. While we are a small part-time agency, we look forward to growing and serving more and more in our community.
