Residents may encounter traffic delays when traveling certain streets on Saturday, March 5, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  The annual Lakewood Sheriff's Community Run begins on Clark Avenue in front of the Sheriff's Station.

Hundreds of runners, walkers and wheelchair participants will be in attendance, and Sheriff's deputies and volunteers will be assigned to traffic control and safety that morning. The race will also use South Street, Briercrest Avenue, Palo Verde Avenue, Woodruff Avenue, Harvey Way and Del Amo Boulevard.
