Don't water after the rain
48-hour post-rain restriction on watering
Give your sprinklers (and your water bill) a rest following this week's rainfall. City water rules state that no watering is allowed within 48 hours of measurable rain. The tropical storm also left the air heavy with high humidity so plants will stay moist for quite a few days.

Residents who normally water on Wednesday should turn off their sprinklers and spigots. And residents who water on Thursday should wait until at least noontime Thursday or consider skipping watering that day.

This unusual summer storm is a great time for all of us to save on outdoor watering and help our community reach our state-assigned goal of 20% water savings compared to 2013 levels.
