The Wind Band Report:
Web site update - Conducting Classes and Symposiums
(and some more random lists)
Hello  welcome back to the Wind Band Report. The next phase of our web site is complete and live, barring some last minute tweaks. Some of you may remember that when I was at Shattinger Music, we designed a part of our web page to handle orders for music specifically for conducting symposiums and music classes. You told us the items and products that were required, and customers could go right to the list and choose what items they needed to purchase.

We have that ready to go on our new web site now.  To use it to order, just direct the customers to http://www.midwestsheetmusic.com/pages/band.html, then click either the "Conducting Symposium" or the "Music or Conducting Classes" tab.  Pick the appropriate state the event is in, then pick the event or class. You'll see a list of required and suggested literature. Customers can add them to the cart and edit their cart before checking out.

We'll contact them for their billing information. In a few months we'll have a secure credit card acceptance procedure set up, so it will be even easier for them then.

If you'd like to have materials for your class or symposium listed on our website, all you have to do is drop me a line. Please include the following:

Name and dates of the event
Repertoire listed
Website for more information
Number of potential active participants
Any critical information not provided on your website.

That's it. You can list the website above in your website or literature to direct customers to the site. The event will automatically be removed at the end of your symposium or class session.

As more critical updates are made to the web, we'll let you know. Our next major update will be to start loading the data of some of the mid level publishers like LudwigMasters, FJH, and others. When that's done I'll be sure to mention it to you. For now, you can always type in the information for whatever piece you're wanting directly into the order form, you don't need to use the search function.

I had a few more "random list" requests, so I'll pass these on in case they're of any use to anybody:

That's all for now, drop me a line if you want your event or class listed on our website.
W9 forms
If your bookkeepers need a new W9 form because of our name change, you can download it here. Our tax information, address, and FEIN has not changed, only the name of the store.

Our new store sign is up, hurray!
