Integration
In each edition of our newsletter, this new section will
showcase an integration topic--sharing, educating, and
demonstrating solutions and workflow processes that are
currently available in your MEDITECH EHR.

PACS is a film-less electronic imaging system designed to process, report, read, archive, and store medical images. Through a system of interfaces set up between MEDITECH and PACS, patient account and demographic information, as well as orders and reports, can be sent to PACS once entered into the MEDITECH system.

Check out this document, which lists the MIS FS Toolbox Parameters that are required for the use of the Enterprise Medical Records (EMR), Physician Order Management (POM), Patient Care System (PCS), Integrated Communication System (ICS), Imaging and Therapeutic Services (ITS), Provider Care Manager (PCM), Internet Gateway, and the Emergency Department's Patient Discharge Instructions (PDI) applications!

Did you know certain parameters are needed when implementing the Clinical Review application? This form indicates parameter settings that should be set for the applications.
5.66 Enhancement Documentation
C/S Ability to Set Default Locations in the Enterprise Medical Record

This enhancement introduces new features, allowing you to quickly search for a patient in the Enterprise Medical Record (EMR). Users can locate a patient by room and bed, reducing the number of clicks when searching.

C/S EMR Access to Scanned Images Converted from Other Vendor Systems

Now, users know if a patient has scanned images converted from Other Vendor systems. Images can be viewed directly from the Enterprise Medical Record (EMR), rather than having to go into Scanning and Archiving.
