How we doing?

Last May there was a general membership meeting where ideas were discussed on how our chapter could grow and serve our community.  Below is a reminder of just a few of the themes that surfaced.

What can you do as an individual to promote your own career as a business analyst?

  1. Understand BA competencies
  2. Look for opportunities to gain experience and expertise
  3. Participate in networking opportunities (IIBA, organizational centers of excellence)

What can the Seattle IIBA Chapter do to promote BA and our chapter in the local business community?

  1. Expand our reach by providing information on the value of business analysis to local professional organizations and publications
  2. Targeted outreach to large corporations with business analysis who are not currently participating in the chapter
  3. Advertise business analysis success stories

How can the Seattle IIBA Chapter add value for our current and future members?

  1. Increase our chapter sponsorship to increase visibility and our means to do more
  2. Provide quality training at a reduced cost for members
  3. Invite corporate speakers to provide a greater understanding to the business analysis landscape in the Pacific Northwest

How are we doing in fulfilling our objectives?    Please pass along any feedback or ideas to any board member.  You can find their contact information in the sidebar of the every newsletter.
