International Institute of Business Analysis is celebrating 10 years of service.

 

IIBA® held its inaugural meeting October 29, 2003 in Toronto, Canada with 28 founding members from 21 different organizations.

 

Currently the IIBA has 26,552 members in 109 chartered chapters. Chapters are located throughout the world creating an amazing network of resources and ideas to support the profession of Business Analysis.  Look for special events through the year to celebrate.

Bellevue College provides several opportunities of professional development, and in appreciation for sharing their location with us for our monthly meetings we will be including offerings that may be of interest.  The first opportunity we would like to share is a course presented by our own Vicki James.
  
The Getting Started in Business Analysis course will introduce attendees to how core business analysis skills help an organization achieve their goals. Over a series of six sessions, topics will include:
  • identifying the various levels of requirements
  • communicating with stakeholders
  • eliciting requirements through interviews, observation, and document analysis
  • various models used by business analysts
  • capturing and reviewing the requirements with stakeholders
