 JOIN A TEAM!
There are so many ways to get involved in Conflict Resolution Month. One of the best ways is to become a Synergizer and join a Team!

Conflict Resolution Month Teams are groups of folks who have come together to coordinate an aspect of Conflict Resolution Month. There is a wide range of diversity in team activities--chances are, there is a team that would be a great fit for the contribution of your time and talents!

Check out the details of each team here.  If you don't see a team that's right for you, feel free to attend the monthly Synergizer meeting and suggest something new!

February, 2016

WELCOME BACK !
February marks the beginning of the 2016 Conflict Resolution Month in Colorado campaign, and we're so excited to get started!

The momentum is already building as Synergizers kick off their work across the state to ensure that October, 2016 is the biggest and best Conflict Resolution Month in Colorado on record.  Teams have mobilized to spearhead a media campaign, begin library and community outreach, initiate the annual book selection process, and more!

Why do we do this work every year?  Did you know:
  • In the U.S., youth homicide rates are more than 10 times that of other leading industrialized nations.
  • The Bureau of Justice reported in 2010 that 25% of women have experienced domestic violence and 6 million children witness domestic violence annually.
  • Research has indicated that investing early to prevent conflicts from escalating into violent crises is, on average, 60 times more cost effective than intervening after violence erupts.
While we always believe that the work we do to inspire productive problem solving across the state is critically important work, these and other statistics motivate us now more than ever to engage as many people as we can in learning the skills to resolve conflict.

We hope that you will join us this year by coming to a Synergizer meeting, hosting an event, donating to the campaign, or by engaging in any other creative way you can dream up!

Sincerely,
Jes Ward, Mary Zinn, and the Synergizer Team
