Check out the details of each team here.  If you don't see a team that's right for you, feel free to attend the monthly Synergizer meeting and suggest something new!

STICKING POINTS AND DYNAMIC CONVERSATIONS
Friday, October 23, 2015
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The Conflict Center's Library
4140 Tejon St, Denver CO 80211

On Friday, October 23rd The Conflict Center will host a book discussion event in honor of Conflict Resolution Month in Colorado! The book we will discuss is Sticking Points: How to Get 4 Generations Working Together in the 12 Places They Come Apart by Haydn Shaw. This event will be a structured, dynamic conversation about intergenerational conflict that will feature small group discussions around specific questions related to Sticking Points. Light appetizers will be served.

If you haven't had a chance to read Sticking Points yet, don't worry - we will have materials on the book to share, and the discussion will be based on our own experiences with intergenerational conflict.

Each year Conflict Resolution Month in Colorado selects a book as recommended reading for the community at large, with the goal to spread information and encourage conversation on ways to resolve conflicts at all levels of society. Sticking Points, this year's selected book, has engaged readers from many different walks of life and has already prompted great conversations about the importance of creating cross-generational understanding and improving communication between generations. Mary Zinn has generously offered to facilitate the overall event, and we are currently seeking facilitators for small group discussions.  If you would be interested in serving as a small group facilitator, please contact Ronnie Weiss at 303-865-5634 or ronnie.weiss@conflictcenter.org for more information on facilitator training.

Due to the format of this event, a limited number of seats are available so
RSVPs will be required. Please RSVP to info@conflictcenter.org or phone 303-433-4983 by Wednesday, October 21

REMEMBERING LIZ LOESCHER
Please join The Conflict Center on Thursday, October 29 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM to honor the memory of our founder, Liz Loescher, who recently passed away after a valiant struggle with cancer.

The Conflict Center will host a reception with cocktails, appetizers, and memories! There will be a brief program including a short video of Liz discussing the formation and development of The Conflict Center, but the majority of the evening will be dedicated to sharing memories and laughter as we work to preserve Liz's legacy of peacemaking.

This event will be held in The Conflict Center's Library, located at 4140 Tejon Street in Denver. RSVPs are not required for this event but they are much appreciated!  Please RSVP to Ronnie Weiss at 303-865-5634 or ronnie.weiss@conflictcenter.org

We hope you will be able to join us!
