Who do you have listed as your BeAScout.org contact?

White Horse

BeAScout.org is a great way for prospective Scouts to find your Pack, Troop, or Crew.  It gives access to your unit's website, and puts them in contact with the unit to allow them to easily join. That is, assuming you have updated your BeAScout.org's online pin.

If it was not updated, the information will just be what is in the system by default; the contact information for the Council office and your meeting location is the mailing address for your chartering organization.

Avoiding that problem is not too difficult though.  Anyone who is a registered member of your Unit, and has entered their Scouting ID# into their MyScouting.org account, can update the information in a few min.  Just look to your MyScouting.org account, and click on the BeAScout tab once you log in.  Email address of the people who are notified can be selected through a drop down menu, and you have spaces for your Unit's website, as well as other information you may want a prospective Scout to have.

If you have any questions, please feel free to get in contact with either our District's Membership Chairman Bernard Cohen: berncoh@rocketmail.com or your District Senior Executive Rilee Benjamin: Rilee.Benjamin@Scouting.org
